Easy Natural Hacks For Beautiful Rosy Lips


“Chubby cheeks, dimple chin, rosy lips….” though these are the words from a nursery rhyme, this is what we all crave for. Bright rosy lips!!! Lips are an essential feature and define the beauty of a face. However, there are several problems related to lips, which could make our lips look bad. Lips can get chapped, dark or even pigmented. Nevertheless, there are many home made remedies for all of the ‘lip problems’. Let us look at the reasons for common lip problems and also some easy, natural remedies for them so as to enjoy beautiful soft lips.

1. Dark lips
Smoking, dryness of the lips, bad quality makeup, excessive exposure to sun, genetic, lack of hydration and lack of exfoliation in the body are the main reason why you have dark lips.

There are a few home remedies to improve or reduce darkness around the lips:

In milk, dip few rose petals and two almonds for around 4-6 hrs or perhaps overnight. Make a paste of all the three in the morning and then apply it on the lips for atleast 30 mins.On the other hand, you can also take some mint leaves and make a paste with few drops of lemon juice and a splash of cucumber juice. Now you can apply this paste on the lips for around 20 mins.

2.Chapped lips
Chapped lips can lead to infections and bleeding, if not taken care of properly. Darkening of lips and pigmentation can also occur if you don’t treat your chapped lips. The reason for chapped lips is not just one, but there are several reasons for its occurrence. However, the prime reasons include:

1. Lack of hydration
Doctors suggest drinking of atleast 6 to 8 glasses of water (which makes one and a half litres of water), every day. This helps the skin to remain healthy and supple.

2. The habit of continuously licking lips
Most people have the habit of licking lips continuously. However, this affects the lips in a negative way. When you lick the lips, it leads to loss of heat from the lips and thus resulting in a huge loss of moisture content from around the lips.

3. Seasonal changes is another common cause of chapped lips.

There are many effective remedies for this problem like:

1. Make sure that you drink enough water and keep yourself hydrated.

2. There is a simple trick, which you will be able to do even if you don’t have any of the ingredients to make a pack or a lip balm. You just need to apply a layer of clear butter or perhaps ghee on your lips for atleast a week, and you will be able to see the difference.

3. Another remedy for lightening the lips would be to mix two tablespoons of orange juice and strawberry juice in melted white butter and then freeze. You can use this as a lip balm. For best results, use this balm for atleast a week.

3. Pale lips

Most of them dream about having pink lips. If you want to reduce the dark patches on your lips, it also means to work on the colour of your lips. You can bring colour to your lips nad reduce the dark shades by using the techniques given below.
Take around four to five drops of beetroot juice and add a few drops of lemon along with some honey. Apply this mixture for about 30 minutes every day to see the change.You could also make a lip pack by mixing pomegranate juice along with some corn starch. Try to drink at least one glassful of pomegranate juice every day.

Take two pinches of turmeric, a few strands of saffron and some milk cream and apply this mixture on your lips for around ten minutes. For best results, you should do this atleast twice a week.
Daub a bit of apple cider vinegar on the lips daily for a week.

4.Pigmented lips or spotted lips
Spotted lips or pigmented lips are caused due to various factors such as imbalanced diet, dehydration, excessive exposure to the sun, bad quality lipsticks and hormonal imbalance.
Many simple remedies can help in this situation:

1. Rub the lips with Lemon juice, coconut oil and almond oil mix or, you could also mix cucumber pulp and papaya and apply it on your lips.

2. Before going to bed, you can apply olive oil and castor oil mix. You can also mix malai, yoghurt and two saffron strands and apply it overnight to get good results.

3. You can exfoliate your lips with several scrubs. Add sheer butter, sugar and honey to make a paste or buttery form of a mixture and apply this onto your lips. You can also use a combination of spinach juice and tomato juice together, for healthy supple lips.

A healthy life, if followed, is something that can bring a difference in your life. Quit smoking, reduce the consumption of caffeine, eat a healthy diet which is rich in greens and fruits, Drink plenty of water and keep yourself hydrated and also apply sun screen before you go outside in the sun.
