Baking Soda

Baking soda is just an all-around useful thing to have in the house. First, it mildly exfoliates, which gets rid of the excess dead skin. It’s also kills off acts as a fungicide. In addition, its tiny particles can be useful in actually removing those loose flakes stuck in your hair-instead of just breaking the pieces of skin up into smaller pieces. The acidity of apple cider vinegar changes the pH of your scalp, making it harder for yeast to grow. Since ACV has great anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties it can act as the perfect home remedy in treating the causes associated with dandruff. Most of the people who have used ACV for dandruff relief have attained quick and effective results with their daily usage. Mix equal parts of ACV and lukewarm water. Apply this on your scalp using cotton ball. Leave for 15 minutes and wash off only with water.
Fenugreek seeds

Fenugreek seeds have several vitamins and minerals that makes it one of the ideal home remedies for dandruff. They have a composition that is rich in protein and amino acids, encouraging healthy hair/hair growth and warding off those wicked flakes in the process. Its high concentration of lecithin (a natural emollient) can help make hair stronger overall, and many people find that it leaves their hair silky smooth and soft. Soak 2 tbsp of fenugreek seeds in hot water overnight. Grind them into a fine paste by adding 2 tbsp of lemon juice or ACV. Apply to your scalp and leave it for 30-45 minutes, then wash with mild shampoo or water.
Neem or Indian Lilac

Neem has anti-fungal properties that inhibit the over-growth of dandruff causing fungus and also helps you to get rid from the itchy scalp. You can boil a handful of neem leaves in water, allow it cool down and then strain it. Rinse your hair with it. You can also make a paste of the liquid, apply on your scalp for an hour and then rinse it off.
Yogurt
Without any question,yogurt can create wonders when it’s applied on your hair as a deep conditioner. Curd contains natural properties that help in preventing antibacterial and fungicidal infection of the scalp. It is a perfect exfoliate to remove dead skin cells deposited on the scalp.Rub plain yogurt on your scalp or add two spoons of freshly ground black pepper(it has anti-fungal properties) to the yogurt or some lemon juice to yogurt.

Let it dry for 10 to 15 minutes and wash it off with the mild shampoo. Make a paste of 2 teaspoons each of coconut oil, olive oil, and honey and 3 teaspoons of yogurt. Apply the paste to your scalp and gently massage it. Rub it from the roots to the tips of your hair. This opens up the pores and promotes circulation. Let the mask stay undisturbed for about 30-45 minutes, after which you can rinse it out using shampoo.
Tea tree oil

Shampoos with just 5 percent tea tree oil significantly improves the severity of dandruff. You can also add a few drops of tea tree oil to your favourite shampoo as you wash normally.

To treat a bad case of dandruff, wash your hair with your regular shampoo, then rinse with an alcohol-based mouthwash. Follow with your regular conditioner. Mouthwash’s anti-fungal properties help prevent dandruff-causing yeast from growing.
Coconut oil

Coconut oil is a “tried and true” dandruff treatment. Before showering, massage 3-5 tablespoons of coconut oil into your scalp and let sit for about an hour. Shampoo normally. You can also look for a shampoo that already contains coconut oil.Boil 50 grams of the marigold flowers and 250 ml of the coconut oil for 15 minutes. Add the 2 pinches of the camphor at the end. Apply this hair scalp after it is cooled down.Apply a mixture of one part lemon juice with five parts coconut oil, leave it on for about half an hour and wash.
